About the Role

Reporting to the Principal Geologist, the Mining Reconciliation Specialist will take the lead position in management of the company’s reconciliation systems, taking responsibility for the development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the mine reconciliation process from resource model through to concentrate sale.

The role ensures reconciliation performance is accurately measured and communicated, while also allows the right person to have a significant impact on the business via identifying opportunities to improve geological models, grade control practices, mining performance, stockpile management, metal accounting and production forecasting.

The position acts as the central custodian & SME of reconciliation data, systems and reporting, providing technical analysis to support business decisions and improve confidence in Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve estimates.

This position is based in Subiaco and offered on a permanent full-time basis, with regular trips to Telfer site a role requirement.

As the Reconciliation Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Implementing robust data driven reconciliation systems at the company’s flagship Telfer Operation.
• provide accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliation reports across the mining value chain that clearly communicate key trends to management.
• Investigate reconciliation variances, identify root causes and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Geology, Mining, Processing and Metallurgy teams to optimise reconciliation outcomes and operational performance.
• Maintain reconciliation systems, databases and reporting dashboards while ensuring data integrity across multiple sources.
• Support continuous improvement through the engagement with industry specialist, ensure industry leading reconciliation processes are implemented.
• Assist with resource updates, QAQC activities and internal and external audit requirements.

About You

You are a highly analytical mining professional with a passion for turning complex data into actionable insights. With experience across resource & mine geology, mining operations and data analytics, you bring a strong understanding of mining value chain performance and a continuous improvement mindset. You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy solving complex problems, and can confidently communicate technical findings to stakeholders across Geology, Mining and Processing functions.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A tertiary qualification in Geology, Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Mineral Processing or a related discipline (computer science).
• +10 years’ experience in the mining industry

• Experience with reconciliation methodologies within gold mining environments.
• Exposure to both open pit and underground production environment.
• Strong statistical, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

While not essential, the following would be highly regarded:

• 5+ years’ experience in resource geology & mine geology roles
• Postgraduate qualification in geostatistics, data analytics.
• Exposure to data analytics via python scripting and Power Bi based platforms.
• Good communication skills, project management and teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment.

About the Telfer - Havieron Project
Havieron is a world-class gold-copper development project located 45km east of Telfer in the Paterson Province. Owned 100% by Greatland, Havieron has a multi-decade mine life and will utilise Telfer’s existing processing infrastructure. The project is supported by a significant regional exploration portfolio surrounding Telfer.
