About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HSET Systems Administrator to support the effective management, validation, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Environment, and Training (HSET) systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data integrity, system functionality, and reporting accuracy, while supporting operational teams through troubleshooting, training, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver support and training to staff in the use of HSET data management systems and business applications.
  • Provide accurate and standardised HSET data for reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate departmental travel, onboarding logistics, and equipment provisioning for new team members.
  • Manage departmental orders including catering, stationery, and supplies.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to promote effective use of WHS and training systems.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSET systems, workflows, and databases.
  • Establish standards and guidelines for database and system usage.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and enhance systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Implement and maintain data security measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Coordinate installation and testing of new systems and assist with reporting and presentations.
  • Compile and distribute safety, injury, and incident statistics in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate registers, records, and documentation.
  • Prepare end-of-month HSET reports for corporate submission.
  • Manage purchase orders, requisitions, and invoice reviews.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support compliance through maintaining licences, registers, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage departmental mailboxes and ensure timely responses and actions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and organisational change.
  • Assist with policy and procedure development to ensure legislative compliance.
  • Provide additional administrative and systems support as required.

 

About You

You are a proactive and organised professional with strong systems knowledge and a passion for safety and data integrity. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are confident working across multiple systems while engaging with diverse stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the mining industry in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in CHESS, SAP, SitePass, SAMS, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of relevant WHS regulations, standards, and codes of practice.

  • Currently studying towards a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety and Training.

Telfer is a long-life gold-copper mine in the Paterson Province of Western Australia’s East Pilbara region. The operation includes both open-pit and underground mining and Australia’s third-largest gold-copper processing facility.
