About the Role
Reporting to the Emergency Management Coordinator, you will provide a professional, compliant, and visible security presence across site while supporting emergency preparedness and response activities. You'll be responsible for maintaining security standards, monitoring access control systems, conducting Drug and Alcohol testing, and participating as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).This is an excellent opportunity for security professionals who are looking to broaden their skills into emergency services and incident response.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage site access control, screening, vehicle inspections, and Drug & Alcohol testing.
- Conduct security patrols, monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
- Support security operations for high-risk and restricted areas, including the gold room and explosives magazine.
- Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and maintain accurate records.
- Promote compliance with site standards and provide support to employees, contractors, and visitors.Respond to emergency incidents as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
- Participate in firefighting, rescue, medical response, and emergency preparedness activities.
- Assist with inspections, maintenance, and readiness of emergency response equipment.
- Support emergency training, drills, and exercises across site.
- Develop and maintain emergency response skills through ongoing training and mentoring.
What You’ll Bring
Essential Requirements
- Current WA Security Officer Licence.
- Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue (RII30719) or currently working towards completion.
- Current Senior First Aid and CPR Certification.
- HLTPAT005 – Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing.
- Current Manual C Class Driver's Licence.
- Previous experience in mining, industrial, or remote-site security operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in high-pressure situations.
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate IV in Health Care (HLT41120).
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Experience in emergency response, mine rescue, firefighting, or medical response environments.
- Previous experience working within mining, resource, or remote FIFO operations.
