About Telfer Operations

Telfer is a gold-copper mine located in the Paterson Province of the East Pilbara region of Western Australia. It includes both open-pit and underground mining operations, as well as the operation of Australia’s third-largest gold-copper processing facility. Since beginning gold production in 1975, Telfer has produced more than 15Moz of gold to date.

Our Telfer operations offer a fly-in fly-out work arrangement, providing our workforce with a healthy work-life balance. Onsite, we offer a broad range of recreational activities, including a recently refurbished gym, swimming pool, driving range, movie room, and both dry and wet mess facilities.

In addition to Telfer, Greatland owns 100% of the Havieron gold-copper, a world class development project with a multi-decade mine life, located 45km west of Telfer that will utilise the existing Telfer infrastructure to process Havieron ore, together with a significant exploration portfolio in the region surrounding Telfer. 

 

The Opportunity

We are searching for a Warehouse Officer to play a vital role in ensuring safe receipt, storage and dispatch at our Telfer Operations. In this exciting and dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing inventory and supporting warehouse operations to meet all requirements.

This is a full-time role on an 8/6 day roster rotating with a 7/7 night roster which is rotated amongst the team. 

As Warehouse officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure all warehouse operations comply with safety procedures, carrying out risk assessments before tasks and escalating safety risks as necessary.
  • Unpack, sort, and check goods received for quality, quantity, and type.
  •  Assist with storing hazardous materials following proper safety standards.
  • Prepare goods for transport and deliver them around site safely using a heavy rigid vehicle when required.
  • Assist with stocktakes and ensure accurate inventory control, identifying and reporting stock discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse, ensuring clear walkways and proper storage practices. Ensure warehouse security and access control.
  • Work closely with internal teams to coordinate efficient stock issuing and manage any concerns or unclear matters with your supervisor.

 

What You’ll Bring

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and detail-oriented Warehouse Officer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.

In addition to these attributes, the ideal candidate should have:

  • WorkSafe High-Risk License – Class LF
  • HR Drivers License
  • Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations (TLI30321)
  • Experience with SAP warehouse management system
  • Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
